Sport

Sport plays a significant role at St Mary’s Catholic College and we boast a proud history of success across many and varied arenas. Throughout the years, the college has had both individuals and numerous teams reach Diocesan, NSWCCC, All Schools and Australian representation, with the highest of accolades being individuals achieving a Blue Award in their selected sport.

St Mary’s has been proudly represented for many years in the following sports: rugby league, cricket, touch football, swimming, athletics, cross-country, netball, triathlon, soccer, AFL, surfing and golf. At national level we have achieved representation in futsal and surf lifesaving.

Our students have the opportunity to participate and compete in a variety of competitions at local, regional, diocesan and state carnivals, including our annual college swimming, athletics and cross-country carnivals.

St Mary’s conducts a Friday afternoon sport program that is continually updated to cater for individual needs and interests. We aim to engage all students in sport at all levels to encourage regular physical activity and skill development for everyone as well as catering for those students who pursue excellence in their chosen field.
